Every Australian business should have CyberWardens

Activa Communications is proud to announce all employees are now graduates of the CyberWardens Level One course because we firmly believe that every Australian business should have CyberWardens on the team.

CyberWardens is an initiative of the Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia, supported by an industry alliance lead by Telstra, Commbank and the Australian Cyber Security Centre and delivered by 89 Degrees East, and we feel it’s a great cause that helps to improve the cyber security and cyber resilience of small businesses and SMEs in Australia.

The CyberWardens program is designed for small business, is self-paced and easy to access, provide simple and practical advice for business owners and employees, and is completely free of cost to encourage wide adoption by small businesses of all types and sizes.

Every Australian business should have CyberWardens

The CyberWardens level one course covers what may be seen as very foundational knowledge to the staff working at an MSP, consultancy, or technology advisory business, which are the types of businesses that the team at Activa Communications normally interacts with, but we feel that all employees of Australian businesses can benefit from upgrading their cyber security awareness.

As further levels of the course are released, the whole team at Activa Communications is committed to completing each new level of training to maintain 100% employee CyberWarden status, simple because we believe that every Australian business should have CyberWardens

Activa Communications has also adopted the policy that all full-time employees are required to complete the CyberWardens training courses in full as part of their role, so as our business and Partner Program continue to rapidly grow the team as a whole will reflect our commitment to this excellent initiative.

We would encourage our partners to support the CyberWardens initiative and recommend that their customers consider also circulating the course to their employees. As a wholesale provider of communications, connectivity and voice services to MSPs, consultants and technology advisors in Australia and New Zealand, we feel that cyber security awareness is a key responsibility of our team and that anything we can do to promote better cyber threat awareness is worthwhile.
